One of the best posts I've read on here. I agree completely. I find there are very few extenuating circumstances and Susie wanting a better team is not one of them. Gym hopping does happen, but I feel if you've fulfilled your obligation and completed your season, you are doing the right...
Not to hijack this thread as I think it is a good discussion, but Cheer Perfection isn't the only thing that is bad for our sport. Do you think swim parents refer to their children as SPs? Why do we persist in using CP? Why don't we call them athletes?
I love the idea of the Summit. Worlds...
Unfortunately, not all gym owners are the same and some don't care. Large gym not too far from me where the gym owner is regularly informed of his cheerleaders bullying via social media and he doesn't address it. For worlds they actively cheered against another nearby gym that was competing in...

It isn't just Chicago or the northwest suburbs. In Illinois, you cannot be on a competitive high school cheer team and an all-star cheer team. Cheer is a sport in Illinois and is recognized by IHSA as such. There is a competition for the state title. Some schools elect not to be...
All At Large bids are equal to each other regardless of when attained. At Cheersport in February that had more bids than teams - is that bid worth more than one attained in March where a team had to outscore other teams? It's a silly, circular argument. You can argue that there are too many...
I find it hard to believe it was edited at all by anyone. It's sad. The 'author' was all over Facebook posting "I love my team" and this is how she writes about the experience? So, what was the lie? Facebook or the book?
Perhaps, but several of the teams going for bid at some of these spring competitions have declined previous at-large bids because they added an athlete or went from large co-ed to medium co-ed because they lost athletes. It isn't that they are lesser teams per se.
