Thanks for the link. IMO it seems weird to consider 4 people out of 11 to be "most" of the team. Plus I guess I just prefer the look of as many groups as possible synchronized.

I have seen A LOT of teams this year not putting up max stunts. I was always under the assumption that if you had 12 kids that meant 3 elite group for "max" scoring. Maybe the rules have changed or I don't understand it properly? I recall seeing a team with 14 kids with only TWO elite groups...

Does anyone know if scoring is a clean slate today or if the scores are somehow combined from semi to finals?

I think flo cheer is just for worlds. I think Summit will be on varsitytv.

I would agree with this. Saw two competitions this year where (due to universal bid) there was only one eligible team. Were they the most deserving? Not in my opinion. But I don't have a dog in the fight this year ;)

After two years straight of going to summit, we switched to a gym that doesnt go to summit for a bit of a break. It was a neat experience, but it required so much travel to get the bids and then it was more travel to attend. It's hard to miss so much school and while it was nice to have been...

What I wish our gym did was cross-train the flyers/bases more on teams where almost all kids are the same size. Have one set of kids in pyrimad and one set in elites or something or at least mixing it up somehow. I think it would better prepare everyone for growth spurts and position changes...
