Varsity’s 2018-2019 registration form does state that commercial recording of any kind is prohibited, not just Flo Cheer’s recorded/streamed video specifically. Flo Cheer has commercial rights to your team’s audio and video and any filming done on property at the competition. As a...
As far as I know, no. It involves a bit of awkward movement from the main base to avoid shoulder dislocation. My best tip would be to drive from the bottom, lift until the main base has a bent left arm, drop your legs and jerk the left hand around and stand up under it. If you (or anyone)...
Reaching the left hand over the foot and grabbing the heel. You end up with the back of your shoulder against the flyer's leg. You basically unwind your grip and it's a full up without the hand leaving the foot. It's a tricky grip to get the hang of but once you do it's incredibly easy.
Flo's agreement with the EPs that you sign when you register your kid for that competition*
The photography and videography rights, as far as I've seen in registrations I've signed in the past, are outlined in your competition's registration. They give video rights to Flo Cheer, you sign that...
You can only fight so much. If they put you in the range you're supposed to be in, you're basically SOL in terms of fighting the scores they gave you. One of the teams I coach won a competition this year based on that. A team clearly better than us was scored lower in difficulty, but because...
People really weren’t kidding about how loud the crowd was for Great Whites.. Not surprising considering the videos I saw of the massive crowd of people mobbing them last night
Not 100% sure but Sparks de Valleyfield (I think that's their full gym name?) may have one? They had one last season and I heard that they do this year, but nothing confirmed.
ETA: I heard that this is the last season Y5 will even be a division. I don't remember where I originally heard it, but...
I've always wondered something.
Here in Canada, we're slowly trying to progress, across all levels, to the level of performance and execution of American teams. When you guys take over a new location, it seems those kids really quickly adapt to the "Cheer Athletics" style and expectation of...
I will never understand...
This team is INCREDIBLY talented. But they’re senior level 5 athletes bouncing around like minis during transitions. Not a single stunting element was caught at the top. There is more motions in this routine than there are actual skills.
SSX, IMO, has not looked even...
I’m all for highlighting performance, creativity, etc., but that formation change in the stunt might be the most pointless and unneccessary choreography decision I’ve seen in a long time. It’s not even a seamless transition..
Rumour I’ve heard was they’ve had a crew following all 6 Worlds teams since right after Worlds 2017. Their IO6 and IOLC6 had camera crews following them at a competition here a few weeks ago
