Landing On Knees In Back Tuck?

I do know the technicality etc of the tuck itself - I coach up to L3 - but it's kind of different when it's me throwing the skill :) weird to explain! There are supervisors that float around our adult gym session so I'll drag one over tonight and se what they say! Thank you, CK x

Landing On Knees In Back Tuck?

So I should stay tightly tucked for longer and see what happens? (I might be old, but crash mats are my friend and I WILL get this!!) HBS x

    Walkover Tips???

Yep, sounds like it. She will have it pretty soon :) Make sure she's kicking with a nice extended leg up, or her foot will "weigh" her back down. CK x

    Air Tracks Uk?

Hi all, Any ideas where the best place to buy air tracks in the UK is? They all seem incredibly expensive :( CK x

Landing On Knees In Back Tuck?

Sooo...I'm learning my back tuck. I'm currently on a fast track/trampoline and am setting nice and high and rotating fast - but I land on my knees every time! Is this a normal progression? How do I know when to untuck? CK x

    Walkover Tips???

Really make sure your bridge is good - if your shoulders are inflexible it will cause issues! (I'm 35 and still trying for a walkover despite the fact I can do front handsprings and front tucks >.<) Good luck. CK x

    OT Worst Cheer Nightmare

When we first started competing I always had this crazy dream the night before competition, that a stunt went wrong (I'm a base, in my avatar that's me basing, back to the camera) and my flyer bonked me on the head with her knee or elbow and I was OK I just couldn't remember the routine...but I...

    Music Oldies

80s glam rock :D (OK, I might be biased, seeing as that's about 70% of our mix this year <3 ) CK x

    All-Star Rude Encounters

We've never had many supporters at competitions as we're a mainly adult team...but bigger programs have cheered for us when they realised this and we were super happy about it! Agree with the posts that just say you get bad eggs everywhere, sadly. CK x

All-Star The Golden Oldies... The Old Cheer Trends.

What's a penny jump? Ahh I remember wiglets...and the one for bunches (I heard them nicknamed "piglet wiglets"). My squad at the time CLAMOURED for them...I said no...and I love embarrassing them about it now :D CK x

    All-Star Practice Wear Question

I ask for black shorts or track pants, basic white trainers and a squad t-shirt for practise. Total cost <$50. It's not fair on kids who really can't afford it to demand all the high-cost stuff! CK x

    What Is A Tension Roll/drop?

That's cute, that pyramid is. And terrifying. (Sorry I know this is an old thread but I'm looking for L1 inspiration :) ) CK x

All-Star Ruby Slipper Full Up Grip

I don't mind the crossed feet full up - that's what we're trying - as the flyer still does a full rotation. We're doing it to two feet at the moment though. CK x

All-Star Ruby Slipper Full Up Grip

See, I agree with the post that said "at some point it stops being a full up". For me - YMMV - it can only be a full up if the hips have rotated fully before the stunt "sets" into place. Otherwise it's just a rotating stunt, and you can do that at level 1... I know, I'm picky. :) CK x
