All-Star CJA to star in new cheerleading series!

Is a docu-series a documentary or a reality show? If it's a documentary there is a slim chance that cheerleaders, coaches and parents will be portrayed in a positive light. If it is a reality show then there is 0% chance that it/they will be portrayed in a positive light. I'm happy for CJA...

What are the top 3 topics in cheerleading?

If they are good enough to be on the senior team then why have them on the youth team competing against youth age girls who are NOT good enough to be on a senior team? For the record, I'm ok with a couple of crossovers just not 30-100% of the team.

To gym owners ( and any event producers brave enough to answer )

I would suggest 15-25 mile move would be enough to allow a gym change. Of course after the season ends you should be able change to a different gym for the following season.

Qualifying for Nationals & Day 2

I like "earning" day 2 but fully understand the reason why they changed it. I laugh though because some competitions have like a 20-80 split so in reality day one means nothing.

    Background Checks for Coaches

I seriously doubt you will ever get a previous employer willing to give any useful information to you if it is of a negative nature. That practice was ended long ago after employees started suing (and winning) employers that gave out negative information on them. You will just have to use...

Is Cheerleading a Sport or an Industry?

This is college cheering they are speaking about but I would think they would be even MORE against regulation or rules for All Star Cheering. Reading this is why I believe that any governing body would have to get the gyms first so they would have the bargaining power. Other wise the...

To gym owners ( and any event producers brave enough to answer )

Wow... no replies to this is depressing. Sometimes I think owners are afraid to speak out on topic like this as they fear it might hurt them at a competition down the road...

Is Cheerleading a Sport or an Industry?

Yes information security would be a must. We are building the best mythical sports company in the history of the world. ha ha

Is Cheerleading a Sport or an Industry?

Agreed... Once everyone is playing within the same rule set the sky is the limit for advancement. Gyms could register for all their competitions at one time using "the instant registration system", payments could be collected at time of registration (no need for credit card processing or...

Is Cheerleading a Sport or an Industry?

I love the ID card and the RFID even better but if you do scanning at an event what happens when an athlete forgets it? Is their a means of immediate replacement or an on site data base that would be accessible to find them? Now that we gave the USASF all these great ideas that will benefit...

Is Cheerleading a Sport or an Industry?

I never realized I had this many good idea until this thread.... ha ha

Is Cheerleading a Sport or an Industry?

My first offer or promise would be to offer cheaper competition fees and travel packages. If a comp cost $125 before and it now cost $100 and your gym attends 4 comps the USASF just saved EACH cheerleader $100. Cheaper costs = sport growth because the less it costs the more people can afford it...

Is Cheerleading a Sport or an Industry?

Good point but I think the GYMS are the first get for the USASF. If they "roster" Stingrays, Top Gun, CA, Cali, ect. along with all the other great gyms and great lesser known gyms then what would the "rogue" (I use that term for this discussion only) competition companies have left but the...

Is Cheerleading a Sport or an Industry?

I think like this... if other "federations" develop that would be ok because that would breed competition. Sports leagues have competition all the time and the competition ends up making one of the leagues stronger in the end. Just tell the USASF to hire me and I will ensure I whip everything...

Is Cheerleading a Sport or an Industry?

Yes I agree when I say rostering i mean in a gym sense and by age. That way a cheerleader can change teams if needed.

Is Cheerleading a Sport or an Industry?

If implement my five simple rules all the rest of the problems will fall into place... The competition companies would all have to play by the same rules and you aren't eliminating anyone. If they don't like the rules they can choose not to be a part of it. Just like in nearly every other...

Is Cheerleading a Sport or an Industry?

Ok, if you insist (lol) 1.) Define a competition season. I would say November 1st to May31st. All sanctioned comps would be in this time frame and no competition would allowed to be held after Worlds. 2.) Rostering - September 1st all teams/gyms are required to submit team rosters. If you...

Is Cheerleading a Sport or an Industry?

Sadly it's an industry but that's because the governing body wants it that way. Until there are real rules put in place to make it a sport (I won't get started with my list) it will always be nothing more than industry.

    USASF Notifications page

AMEN!!! that would help keep things more honest and also give the random-complainers-for-no-reason no credibility.

    All-Star level 3 :)
