    All-Star Strong starts

Tribe Cheer Mystic (SXS) and VooDoo (IOSC6) just got paid. Phoenix (SSC) got an at-large this weekend. That's all our worlds teams with bids at their first bid-offering comp.

Cheer Season Overview (Help Me Understand)

@NJ Coach pretty much got it. Tryouts April-May, but many gyms now do a longer tryout process with teams not announced until later May/June. Showcases September-November with the biggest gyms who will have theirs streaming in October. Smaller competitions start in October-November, "nationals"...

    All-Star Tumbling variations

Not very familiar with acro dance, so I'm not sure what all of the possible skills are, but I think it's probably that 1 - athletes aren't trained in those skills and 2 - those skills aren't taught because they are less common. It's a chicken and egg problem. Our mini team has used a chin roll...

All-Star Open International Worlds Teams for 2023-2024

Tribe is still able to have VooDoo! They are IOC6, not sure if small or large. We don't have Tomahawks this season, but there are two senior 6 worlds teams instead! T&S still has Adam & Eve IONTC6. C&M and Soco Intensity also have had open teams in OK, haven't seen info from them for this year...

    College Monica Aldamas official statement

I don't believe her. We have video evidence from season 1 of Cheer that she does not prioritize the health and safety of her athletes. Too many allegations have come out of that program for them all to be false.

All-Star Struggling to find a place in cheer as open-aged athlete without higher level skills

I feel the same way. I've been dying for them to bring back the parent team here. They tease it every couple of years, now they are actually doing a parent performance at our prep end of year showcase. I have said since CP started that if Open 1 was a thing, I'd try out in a heartbeat.

    All-Star Progression

Definitely normal this far into the season. Right after tryouts until around July/August when they get choreography, they will spend time on tumbling and jumps, but once the routine is set they only focus on what and who is in the routine. CP's gym doesn't have a jumps class, so that has to be...

    All-Star All Star Cheer Schedules

It depends, last year the gym made a cool FB post with a US map and all the places we were going. Before last year though they didn't post anything online. I hope they do it again this year because we are traveling a lot again. CP's Y2 team is going to Mardi Gras in New Orleans in January...

    All-Star All star exclusive gym

No, but we have a pretty large gym. I could maybe see it in a gym wth only 1-2 full floors and if it was conflicting with team practices. I don't personally separate prep from elite and it would be weird not to have classes?? How do you draw in new athletes? The part that makes the most sense is...

    All-Star Summit 2022

    All-Star Worlds 2022

Looks like they're up on Flocheer's website. 1 - Orange 138.05 2 - SS 132.6 3 - SE 121.9 4 - Panthers 110.8 Also Tribe VooDoo is moving onto finals in 2nd place! So excited for these kids to make finals, CP is annoyed she can't watch them live tomorrow.

    All-Star Worlds 2022

I tried to search older threads and couldn't find what I was looking for. Doesn't FloCheer/VarsityTV stop offering monthly subscriptions right around Worlds? Trying to decide if I can wait until payday (Wednesday) to get the subscription or if I should do it now.

All-Star Usasf Proposed Rule Changes For 22-23

The age grid changes don't essentially change anything either. They increased the min and max ages by one year so your age during tryout year would still be the same age as the previous model. Ex: CP's cheer age under old model next season would be 11-12 and youth max was 11. Now her cheer age...

For Parents 5 Things Every Cheer Parent Needs To Know

    1. Every kid advanced at a different rate. Your kids may be super quick at getting tumbling, or super slow, like mine. Don't rub it in if your kids is fast and don't let it get to you if your kids is slow. 2. Prepare to turn down birthday party invitations, skip church every once in a while...

    All-Star Tiny VS Mini team

The age grid used to be age on August 31st, but in the last couple of years changed to birth year. Tiny for this season is 2014-2016 which is why there are some 7 year olds that can be tiny, but some can't. It depends on where you are in the country, but mini typically is quite a bit more...
