my team was also perplexed by our scores. Specifically stunt difficult. We had majority switched up to and extended position but was scored as a lower difficulty than switch up to prep level and then power press to extended level. Makes no sense. we will probably not be back. disappointed to say...
I've noticed teams with fronts seem to have placed worse this year. In previous years they did not really count down for that. Our stunt difficult scores were the same as last year doing half ups as it was doing squad switch ups with fronts.
Did the coach not know they had to do all 3? Little teams can do well at nca since they don't have to do much to have 75% of the team complete a skill.
I think this is a step in the right direction. I wonder how this will impact the pretty much monopoly on cheer here in the USA by Varsity. Maybe we can actually get a governing body that isnt so intertwined with Varsity
Most of the time even if they show it in another country first, they show 1 episode a week. To me showing it everyday seems like freeform in the US wasn't that interested in it.
Im guessing since they aired a new episode everyday and not once a week like normal shows, there will not be a season 2. Its like they were just trying to get it aired and over with.
I say don't address it. Let them talk especially if you've stated this is why these people are alternates. I've learned I really never have to explain my coaching decisions because I do exactly what I say I'm going to do. In your case you did what you stated. Nothing else to say. They will learn...
See we as the coaches come up with fundraisers such as community babysitting on a Saturday in December when parents can Christmas shop. So in my opinion it is an option for kids to work for their money if their gym invest in that work ethic. We do about 8 events each year. To me the sponsorship...
I hate fundraisers that are like hey give me money. Every fundraiser we do the girls on the team work and it's not selling things. Its babysitting, hosting a cheer clinic, running a bingo, serving food etc.
In my state it isn't a sanctioned sport but we are part of the non althetics portion of our state athletic association. Pretty ridiculous sounding isn't it! Lol
True about the state association but if they were then it can impact them competing in with UCA. In my state the athletic association has to approve every event you go to so they could deny them the right to go (of course if they are sanctioned by the athletic association).
Maybe I'm wrong but I just don't see bullying actually occurring. There may be some disagreements here and there but they all realize on some level they have to work together for a routine to work so you may want to rethink the bully thing
