lol I gave it go... then gave up quick. I was just trying to see if a free program could handle the load of a cheer mix. Honestly I wouldn't even recommend it for beginners as they would just get frustrated and give up totally. If you have a mac, garageband would be a close second to start on...

If you have an all girls squad, a woman power mix would be cool. It has been done before but that doesn't mean and it can't be done better!!

I use Ableton as well. I was just curious if anyone has had any success with it. I tried and failed miserably! I feel spoiled with Ableton. lol

If you need risers/fallers: What kind are you looking for? I would try loopmasters or youtube cheer sound effects. I found a few that way. I also include 20 "hit" sound effects with my cheer drum loops package: Cheer Drum Loops - Cheer Music, Custom Dance Mix hope this helps!
