Hello all, been a while since I've logged in here. Two of my athletes are hoping to attend the London New Year's All-American parade this year, but I cannot find any information on how to register or pay as a chaperone. I wanted to reach out specifically to see if anybody had attended as a...
Most of the Cali gyms, except the one in Mesa, have open teams (which is unfortunate for you, considering you live in Phoenix). if it helps, I live in the West Valley and cheer at Top Gun (right off the 101 on Thunderbird) on their Coed Non Tumble team, Stealth. Top Gun also has TGOC which is an...
Not sure if this schedule is publicly available yet (or if the link will even work), it's just a more recent preliminary schedule than what somebody posted a few months back, but use this document to get a good idea for how much time you have between performances and whether or not you'll need...
Alas, due to the rising COVID cases the event is being cancelled, so we won't know how much of a success or how well-run it would've been, at least not this year.
With that being said, I'd love to see competitions start to offer something more than just 'compete and be done', so maybe this will...
I'm not one to make threads, but I am curious if anybody knows anything about this event. Our gym is attending and it's so hard to find any useful information on the internet, including social media. The website is pretty obscure on everything, and it seems just all around like a rather strange...
I was thinking the exact same thing - it's difficult to know how something will translate when it's just a drawing, and even a singular mockup is hard to envision in bulk on people flying through a routine. I do think this uniform could be salvaged if they just completely got rid of the pants -...
Our Junior 1 team was incredibly excited, and it made me feel far less salty about the fact that Varsity didn't swap it out. They wanted pictures 'in front of the princess castle' and I about died it was so cute.
Performance Order is out! They ended up splitting IOCNT6 because of how many teams were enrolled, and it was apparently purely random (not based on size/name/gym).
The Cheerleading Worlds | Event Schedule
As somebody competing in IOCNT6, trust me when I say we feel sorry for ourselves too. We're all going a bit mad over here trying to plan anything when we literally know nothing.
Not sure if you saw it, but USASF did send out an email that allows you to still book park tickets on days that are filled with reservations (my guess is they're tapping into the 'annual passholder' slots that are available), you just don't get to pick the park and sort of get shoved wherever...
I genuinely cannot think of a rational reason for why, at the very LEAST, at least a block schedule isn't up yet other than Varsity needs to secure more hotel rooms to meet their contract numbers with Disney, and the easiest way to do so is to not inform them on when their kids are performing so...
It's insane to me that Summit is in three weeks and there's still not even a block schedule released (unless I'm missing it). I was stressing over not having any information yet for Worlds as an adult only worrying about myself but, I can't imagine how much more stressful it is for parents...
The mascots may be annoying, but they're a huge boost to scores. I competed there with my college and we couldn't get the mascot to come with, and it was basically like a 5 point hit just for not having them on the mat. Not sure if the rules have changed since then, but I remember being pissed...
I will say one thing - our coach gives us two fullouts and that's it, she submits the better of the two (sort of like a Day 1/Day 2 floating score idea, but with one being worth 100%). With that being said, there's a gym on the other side of town that will record over the span of a week every...
I'm just trying to understand the reasoning of having three flight school themed uniforms (green, white, now blue), especially considering how the white ones just came out like two months ago? Just seems like such a waste of time/money/resources.
Rather smart of them, for convenience, to put it on weekdays in between other major events they're hosting; however, I wonder how schools will feel having college students miss multiple days right at the start of final exam season (if they even permit travel, which some colleges have limited...
After watching the video, no, I'm pretty positive it'll be serious. At the very least a concussion, at most potentially an injured back given the way her legs were kicking and her back was seemingly spazzing immediately after she hit the ground. For those who didn't see it, she got dragged down...
