Saw on social media Vogue Athletics from England and Superstars in Albuquerque is joining together. Superstars will be taking the Vogue Athletics name.
Are they taking over a/the gym in Las Cruces (I know we have seen a gym from Las Cruces I want to say it’s the only one but not positive on that. And I can’t think of their name at all right now something Storm) or is this just a brand new location?
We don’t know when we will be able to start up again, they use a school to practice so it’s up to the school to allow the kids back in for any kind of practice along with the phases.
From what I understand in order to cut costs this year for parents there isn’t going to be practice wear, no new...
A school near us announced they would be closed today but that’s the only one.....I know one school near us is on spring break right now, our school today is the last day then out for spring break and I think the other nearby towns start spring break soon as well.
Usually the team that performs after us their parents/fans are already waiting to go in the viewing area after us so we will ask them if they can fill in around us and cheer our team on as well then we move off to the side and cheer on their team.
When she broke her arm it was her first year of all star cheer and had done 3 years of rec cheer. She had recently learned her back walkover and had permission to do it on her own without a spot for a little while at that point. The doctor had cleared her to tumble again but looking back it was...
This was 4 years ago so I’m trying to think lol I want to say about a week after the 2nd time for the soreness. When it rebroke she was doing a back walkover again and it rebroke because it wasn’t actually healed. She’s doing great now it took her about 6 months after she was cleared to do a...
My oldest CP had a similar injury at that age her first year of all stars. She got hers doing a back walkover though. They said 6 weeks took the cast off and cleared her, exactly 1 month later it broke again because it wasn’t actually healed. That time required a temporary rod put in. Once the...
This is my husband He at first would tell our oldest that cheer wasn’t a sport it was just an activity she did and they would go back and forth. 4 years later he is always asking me “is the schedule out yet? Who’s in their division?” Or “Xteam is good our girls better bring it this weekend.” “So...
I’m also in Arizona and the open enrollment is statewide. I don’t have high school kids yet but I’ve heard that the reason AIA is strict about their rules especially for transfer students is because of the statewide open enrollment.
Blue floors, like others have said it helps better with spacing and for uniforms. CP’s team has a mostly black uniform with a little white and pink on it. They would blend in to much on a black floor (especially a black floor black backdrop like NCA had)
I would love to hear how your gym handles Team fundraising. How big is your gym/team?
We are a very small gym, 1 elite team, 1 prep team and a preschool fundamentals class. We are also a non-profit gym so keep that in mind we have to follow different rules due to the 501(c)3 status.
1. Is it...
Current 5R = New Level 5
Current level 5 = New Level 6
Current Level 6= New Level 7
The Worlds divisions remain the same only instead of level 5/6 it is level 6/7
CP had a hair piece in the past, teasing her hair was damaging it plus her hair is so heavy that it never stayed teased. This season her team is doing braids that end in a messy bun and I love it! CP loves it as well she said it’s so much easier to tumble in and she no longer has her hair being...
Unfortunately when you do a sport injuries can and do happen. If it was because of neglect then I hope the proper channels are used but ranting on a message board is not the way to do it. It also is not the way to bring about change. I understand it’s hard as a parent to see your child or even...
There are advantages and disadvantages for both really small teams (5-7) and larger teams. CP has been on teams with 11-14 kids on them but has also been on teams with 6. When she was in Rec cheer she was on teams with around 20 on them before. This year she is on one again with only 6 due to a...
It’s pretty neat to watch, they are a small team of only 6 ages 8-11 but their coach has the 6 of them get in a stunt group (flyer, 2 bases, back, front and spotting) they put the flyer up (the younger girls have gotten to where they can put the older girls up but not high I’m not great with...
CP’s coach does this, she will record them and then have them watch it to give a visual of what she is talking about. She also will have them tell her what needs to be corrected. Her coach will also show photos and videos to CP to give her a visual. CP is a visual learner and her coach can tell...
I agree with this as well. CP is on a youth team and her cheer age is 11. But she will be 12 for the majority of her competitions because her birthday is in January. Same with one of her friends who turns 12 during the season. On the other end my 5 year old CP is tiny and looks a lot younger...
