So it seems like I know what I need to do. Tryouts at new gym are on Monday and I want to give it a go. But, now what's worrying me is HOW am I supposed to leave my gym. The thought of telling my coach that I'm switching gyms makes me feel PHYSICALLY sick. Should I tell her at my practice this...
Oh dear, it's true. And according to this thread, my gym actually has even MORE signs of being a struggling gym that I didn't mention. I won't make any assumptions but this is quite worrying, to say the least.
I totally agree with you. I never thought I would say this, but I would rather move down a level and max out completely. Sadly, I'm not the kind of person that can jump straight to level 3 and succeed- at least not without strong coaching.
I've been told that If I don't 'progress at the pace...
My mum suggested I switch gyms due to some issues with the team I was placed on, and I've been thinking about it but not sure. If I'm gonna switch, I need to do it SOON because this is the perfect time (the UK season has just ended). Also my sister is starting cheer soon so we need to decide...
lol sorry if the question sounded stupid guys. I knew I needed to put it in a ponytail but I was just looking for some advice on giving it more volume, making it stay in place and anything other tips you might have :)
Thank you so much for the advice! And, yes I know that education comes first- but thanks for reminding me! None of my target grades for GCSE are lower than an A*/A, so I know I need to work hard. And wow, I didn't know that the unis in areas you mentioned have such great cheer programmes!
YO, THIS IS GONNA BE LONG AND RANTY . SKIP TO THE BITS IN BOLD IF YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT BACKGROUND INFO.
So basically, I'm 15 now and I'm starting to wonder what's gonna happen to my passion for cheer as I get older (yes I'm worrying about that NOW).
Anyway, I intend to keep cheering for at...
Need to have my hair like this for comps (in a tight slick ponytail, no poof, can have curls if preferred).:
Not really sure how to do it with box braids like this (mine are thinner tho):
Any cheerleaders with braids who can help me out?
UPDATE: I got the used pair of nfinity vengeance. They were in mint condition and I deffo wouldn't guess that they had been used for a whole season. Whoever previously owned them obviously took good care of them! They fitted quite nicely as well (about half a size up from my street shoes)...
I'm on J1 and I fly and base. Not alot of tumbling, and only 1.5-2hrs gym-time a week. However after this first comp in 3weeks I'll be moving to S2 and possibly doing more flying. As well as being in the gym for 2-2.5 hrs instead of 1.5-2. Tbh I don't think it's really a lot?
UPDATE: Couldn't find anything on Amazon or Ebay. All the listings were either dodgy, wildly overpriced, or not my size. I went on shpock (It's like a UK version of Ebay, but more like a boot sale) and searched for nfinity shoes. I found a pair in my size...
Yeah I guessed as much. Didn't think the difference would be that noticeable, specially as I've been training in Nike Freeruns for all this time. I suppose it's more important than I thought!
I'm in my first year of cheering and I have my first competition coming up in 3 weeks, but I haven't got any shoes! My coach recommends Nfinity Evolutions, but it's not compulsory to wear them.
I know that the Nfinity Evolutions would be really good to get, but they are too expensive for me...
