I know that 5 Worlds athletes can crossover to a Summit team. But is that for each team - so 5 athletes from your Worlds team compete on a level 4 and a different 5 compete on a different level 4? So 10 worlds athletes from one team on two different Summit teams, if that makes sense?

But if you were in the Open 4 division you would be competing against other teams in that division that are 14+ not against 8 year olds. So should that division not be offered a end of year championship in your opinion?

I'm curious what the age grids are for competitive dance teams? Not the dance teams at cheer competitions which probably follows something similar to cheer, but the competitions with dance teams from actual dance studios.

I am not sure on gymnastics but I know with figure skating to compete at the Worlds & International level in the senior age group, there is a minimum age of 15, I believe. And 13 is the minimum age for the junior level. I think at smaller domestic competitions there is no age requirement - just...

But wouldn't they be older then by the time they make the Worlds team? So the age change would probably make no difference in that case of a late bloomer, I think it would effect the younger kids with high level skills the most.

I think a lot of gyms are realizing that they need a place for true beginners and are now offering Prep Teams for those athletes! After a year of being on a Prep Team and learning the basics, then they are placed on a full year team the following year. I think it makes it a lot easier transition...
