I feel like it's starting to fade away a little and now braids, scrunchies, buns, are starting to take over. I feel like the alternative to hairpieces is a more sporty look, which I appreciate. Considering how much time and effort our kids put into a routine, I am all about the more athletic...
I know this may seem like a silly question, but on the posted NCA results, for each category, it lists 2 scores. What is the first score and what is the second score?
I should do that. A few of these comps are ridiculous. There isn't room to see your own kid's team perform, let alone any other teams. But if it's a place we haven't been to before, I don't know what the "arena" looks like until I have paid.
Does the synthetic really look that much different though? Honest question. The posh ponies are not that pretty to look at, especially up close and in their 2nd year of use. They are thin at the bottom. Not trying to talk badly about what people choose because I completely see the convenience...
I was even considered making a bump-it type thing out of velcro and "sewing it" into her ponytail holder to give it the illusion of teased. Most of the girls on the squad have a pinup pony, but I don't want to go that far right now.
We don't like the look or price of the ponytail extensions, but I am not good at ALL at teasing a high ponytail. My daughter is very tender-headed, so it make it more difficult. I hate to damage her hair as well. Are there any tricks to releasing a good tease or creating a "fake" tease? I need...
For those of you who have been doing this for years, what is it that you hate the most and are ready to be DONE WITH? I may need a heads-up! (My daughter is still young).
I never thought about a significance in the lineup order. Our teams (not my teams, I am a parent) have very often been first or close to it in performance order. Hmmm
