I recently got a position as head cheer coach at a college! I have an all star background, so I’m looking for resources about college cheerleading, recruiting, college level pyramids, etc.
I have a general knowledge of college level stunting (similar to Level 7 in Allstar) and I plan on...
I have to do choreography for 5 teams. I recently found this app called "playbook" which lets you set up a formation for each count, and it shows the transitions for the next formation. It has helped me and my assistant coach out SO MUCH. We can never remember placements and such for 5 teams...
This was my first year as a small gym owner, and I gave my girls off for May, June and Signups start in july. I have summer camps which is able to pay my rent, and it's nice break not only for the families but for me. Plus it gives me more time to advertise and plan! I can't imagine going back...
As a small gym owner, tight age restrictions make it super tough. Last season was my first year ever. I had some older 14/15 year olds with tucks. I also had a 10 year old with a tuck. Thanks to the age grid, I was able to put her on the senior team instead of the youth level 1 team where she...

It's scary, but I am loving every second of it. It's a small town with no gyms in driving distance. I contacted a local school to rent their gym. I borrowed mats from...
I have a new cheer gym and I am making bows to help raise money to grow our program! We are moving to a new building and will be getting more equipment. Every penny helps, thank you!
All bows are 3 inch grosgrain with a strong hair tie. If you want something a little different, let me know...
We had tryouts in April. In our district, the 8th graders are not technically allowed to tryout, so they will tryout when school starts back up. We put all the cheers on youtube so the 8th graders know them when they start school. And camp is in August :)
It's just sad that I come to a thread curious about the topic and someone hijacks it with nonsense. I truly feel like this forum is filled with crazies
I think that choreographing to a mix is kind of an easy way out. A good mixer can work with any choreography, and you should make your routine as innovative as possible without worrying about music.
