Please don't forget them. Phoebe is literally screaming because she made Scratch6 this year. Those of y'all playing the long game, yes Phoebe is now almost 21 and coming back to cheer after graduating high school, moving to South Korea, moving BACK from South Korea..lol
2009 was Pheebs first season in Texas cheer (CA Bobcats).
We had the blue and black shirts, everyone wore black cotton soffes. We went to one away comp in Houston (Cheer America), there was no STP. I think I paid $200 a month and it was all inclusive.
This season (Scratch6) I have already spent...
Not every kid will be an elite-level tumbler. That's just the way it is, on top of that not every elite level tumbler will be on a worlds team or globe at worlds once there. Before NT you were done at 18 unless you were one of these "worlds level" athletes. The division gives kids like mine an...

New Convention Center
So we will probably get one more year in Dallas and then NCA will have to relocate until 2026 when the new convention center is completed. The plans sound more like the George R. Brown in Houston but they are not tearing down the arena so it...
We went Sunday and it was crazy. Being in the arena after so long was an experience. We went in and out all day to free up room for parents of athletes, never had a problem finding a seat (at one point we were literally behind the floor..lol). Walked down to McDonald's and fought for our lives...
I'm a Director for a health system in Texas. Degree wise I have my Master's in Nursing and worked bedside up until 2015. Then I switched to an area called Informatics (basically I speak health care to IT people). Now I do that but for public health/care management for the system. The best part...
Going to NCA for the first time in at least 4 years. This should be fun😂 Does anyone know the COVID protocol? Do we need vaccine proof? Negative test? Are they limiting awards attendance because that determines if we go Sat or Sun.
LOL I just logged in after almost a year because my 20 year old moved back from South Korea and wants to cheer again. I literally know NOTHING about the current all star/competition world.
I thought your username looked familiar. I haven't been here in years but got an email. No kids in cheer anymore but hope everyone is doing well. For those following at home, Phoebe is now 20 and attending school in South Korea but will be coming home in December.
She cheered on a Senior 3 her junior year and then took this season off because of Senior school stuff. She’s accepted that she hates tumbling but loves everything else so she’s okay being level 2 or NT.
The SS price and the fact she can pay at least her tuition herself helps.
We have a different issue. If they move the cutoff to January 1st my athlete will turn 19 and won’t be able to fulfill her dream of chucking 12 year olds into the sky super senioring on Sabres.:p
It just means she will move to the NT International divisions but she really wanted that last year.
Oh FOR SURE! I don't think anyone should count them out. Knowing that gym and the coaching level, they will put in the hours to start hitting. Worlds is going to be interesting!
Yes on the SOT twins. They were on Royalty, aged out, took a season off and are now back on LR. There is also an ex-Panther/TG alum on the team. Tons of talent.
Are Royalty and A-Team rebuilding this year? or has the talent just gotten that deep in Worlds divisions? I’ve been out of the loop but...
I’m kind of sad this weekend is almost over. It seems the board isn’t very active anymore and it’s been so fun to be watching with y’all like old times.
Cheer truly is like Hotel California. We took this year off but watch for Phoebe back at CA for her Super Senior year! It seems fitting to end...
Omfg why am I crying?!
7 years in 2nd.
I think LL benefited last year being a pioneer. Now the talent is so deep anyone can take your crown at anytime. Both teams did amazing and it was anyone’s given Sunday.
