There are 40+ teams on this shirt and I know of 8 teams that chose not to participate. There are easily 50 teams from Canada going this year.

The black shirt is our "family shirt" and separate shirts for each team going to Worlds. PCT Cobras (Canada) And this is the shirt that most Canadian teams participate in - it lists the Canadians coming to Worlds.

I wasn't there last year (my father was sick) but the resolution was passed at the ICU general meeting just prior to Worlds last year. I don't know the rationale but it did pass with only a very few countries opposing it.

Countries are only allowed to field two teams this season - one all girl and one coed is the maximum. A decision to run Elite or Premier had to be made (we aren't allowed to do both). Given that Canada has won 5 times in both All Girl and Coed Elite it is time for a new challenge.
