Hey guys, I'm from the UK and cheer apparel here can be expensive. A pair of basic soffes are £10 which is around $16 and Nike Pro shorts are practically unheard of. I'm vacationing in Orlando in April and I was wondering if anyone who knows the area would be able to tell me if there are any...
How on earth are we ever going to progress the sport and our skills if we can't innovate and try new things in our own gym environments and with coaches like Courtney? Surely there was a time that cheerleaders and coaches couldn't imagine tick-tocks or back tuck baskets, not to mention 360 ball...
We used CheerFix and they were a very decent price. They're a relitively new company but have already produced uniforms for loads of squads including Aviators. www.cheefix.co.uk They don't advertise that they do them yet, but if you email the owner, Maria, she's awesome at accomodating your designs.
Yeah, the companies in the UK are just not staffed and equipped like the ones in the US. I hate measuring our girls, I stress about how they'll turn out every time and we always have to take them in ourselves or send them back after the first competition for re-sizing. But then we do get our...
Oh I don't actually see anything wrong with using extensions to enhance your natural hair. It's the clip on bunches of curls or ridiculous sized crimped ponytails that should remain in cheerleading history.
i covered this in my article for UK website CheerFix last year... http://www.cheerfix.co.uk/page/top-10-cheer-trends-20102011
i much prefer the natural look.
mine says "but the greatest of all these things is LOVE"
and that British girls still insist on stunting on the wrong leg FAR too much. i am stretching it out of them, i promise!
We have no idea what the 'legal' version that they have in mind is... maybe an unbraced rewind out of the tumbles is safer for now if the legal way is technically more difficult. My level 2 girls have done rewinds at a camp here in the UK, they are safe. But finding a way to make them legal at...
Courtney has stated that they are working on a legal version of the stunt but she regarded this version to be safer for the girls in this instance. She's a highly respected member of the cheerleading community. She isn't going to lie.
Gahhhhh, it's a little annoying isn't it? I tried re-doing the practice potion again and then starting a real potion and it seemed to work and it saved but then it glitches again when i went back to do the second half. Glad I'm not alone though :)
Anyone want to share their Pottermore screennames and add friends?
Mine is ChaserDawn195 and I'm a Hufflepuff. I'm absolutely happy with Hufflepuff, two of my cheer girls are hufflepuff too :) Apparently we're quietly strong and fiercely protective... I'm summarising, obviously. Is everyone...
OK, I'm gonna sound really dumb but in the UK we have very few teams that are level 5 and above. In fact, we have very few teams period compared to the USA and we are still learning some basics of top level cheer.
So, can someone explain the difference between kick, hitch-kick, and switch-kick...
