All-Star IASF age grid changes for 2022-2023

Were there any proposed changes besides bumping the bottom of the open age? Any changes to World's age for senior teams? I'm not in the "worry -zone," just curious!

    All-Star Covid-19 / Varsity Response

Hate to say, but I also agree. I believe stunting is a phase 4 activity for us, which is basically the vaccine phase. And, no way our health dept is going to allow hundreds of people in a convention center. I'm chalking it up to a year of mental reset and skills training. I'd love to be...

    All-Star Covid-19 / Varsity Response

I said earlier the situation is evolving by the hour; the NBA just suspended their season. This is going to be a wild ride.

    All-Star Covid-19 / Varsity Response

The situation is evolving hour by hour....it will be an interesting few weeks. Several people I know (who do not have any inside information) think that Worlds/Summit will be canceled.

    All-Star Age Grid 2020-2021

I think for international, but for USASF it has been not older than 14 on Aug 31st

    All-Star Age Grid 2020-2021

Makes sense because isn't international Jan 1? I've heard they're trying to streamline some things

    All-Star Age Grid 2020-2021

This is exactly what a gym owner told me the other day was going to happen. They did say there might be a Jan 1 cutoff but I don't know how that is going to work - maybe they change all of it to Jan 1 cut off?

The webinar is today? Haven't heard but will ask around...

All-Star Senior Age And World’s Age Eligible Age

I am in the exact same boat as you are. I was talking with a gym owner a couple of days ago and he said he thought the grid was coming out next week, but I am not holding my breath. :)

All-Star Senior Age And World’s Age Eligible Age

My athlete will be cheer age 12 next year - she is a level 6 tumbler/flyer. Last year she was on a J6. Due to a massive aging out and a concerning lack of depth coming up in junior, she was placed on S5 this year, which has been fine. When senior age goes to 13 next year, her only option...

All-Star Senior Age And World’s Age Eligible Age

I don't want to spread rumors, so I will just watch and see what happens. But, last summer, a business owner who is very connected in the cheer world told a group of us parents at an event - to "buckle up," that the next couple of years were going to be a very bumpy tug-of-war between governing...

All-Star Senior Age And World’s Age Eligible Age

I have heard rumors as well. Based on things I've heard from various sources, I think the next couple of years are going to be interesting in the industry.

All-Star Senior Age And World’s Age Eligible Age

This of course would be ideal. The reality with the smaller gyms - many in my area, is that there simply aren't enough kids to put teams together without a bit of flexibility in the age grid.

All-Star Senior Age And World’s Age Eligible Age

Does anyone know when the official age grid typically comes out for the following season? March? April?

All-Star Varsity Stay Smart (stay To Play)

We have had families going out of the blocks for years with no issues, but just today, we received notice to book all 3 of our away comps with a hard message that STP was required. It stated that everything was being checked and if things didn’t line up, the gym would not be bid eligible. We’ve...

All-Star Senior Age And World’s Age Eligible Age

I actually have the official age grid, I just can't figure out how to get it to post here, I am technically challenged! At first glance it appears that there are no changes in age to anything for next year - top, bottom, whatever.

All-Star Senior Age And World’s Age Eligible Age

I don't have any issue with my athlete being on a junior team at all. The problem is, she has been on a Junior 5 for two years, but those teams are hard to put together, as you have to have enough kids with those skills to do so. We won't have the kids for it next year. For her to go to level...
