Anything in Austin?? I'd love to cheer again my last year in college. I work at a gymnastics gym right now so I've kept up all my tumbling (thank god). Thinking about driving to Dallas, but that makes my gas bill cry a little. Would love to stay in Austin if I could.
I've gone through a lot of mental blocks in my years of cheer and gymnastics, and what works for me is going back to the beginning and starting over with whatever skill is causing the issue. So I would go back through all the drills used to work up to the skill and basically reteach it to...
Chelsea is my Crossfit coach right now! She's great. I'm in her gymnastics specific class which is so much fun. She knows her stuff, and I know Crossfit has really helped me get my strength back up and I've seen big improvements all around.
I'm going to be in D.C. interning over the summer, and was wondering if there were any gyms out there that would let me tumble/work out there for the summer. I'm thinking of trying out for an international team this year, but I need a place to work out over the summer in order to get my skills...
Hi everyone. I just got a job at a small gym as a coach for both their cheer and gymnastics programs, and was wondering if yall had any tips for me. I have personal experience in both sports, but this will be my first time coaching so any advice from some coaching veterans would be great...
Mine's not as emotional/inspiring as yours but here it is :)
My first NCA win.
We had not had the best season leading up to it and our team had changed multiple times, causing us to go into NCA with a new routine. I was extra nervous because they had put my two to full back in the routine...
Hi, I was also admitted and I'm trying out for all girl in a couple weeks. All my forms and recommendations have been sent, but I was wondering if anyone knew the tumbling standard I need to be at. I have my full and a specialty through to full on the spring floor, but the most I've done on...
University of Southern California, and yeah even though it's my top choice I'll only be able to go if I get lots of scholarship money. If that doesn't work out I'll be headed down to Austin for UT
I can't even imagine applying to 17 schools! Congrats on everyone's acceptances :)
I applied to 6 schools: UT Austin (Plan II), Baylor University, Trinity University, USC, William and Mary, and Middlebury College. So far I've only heard back from Baylor, but I was accepted (yay!). It was...
I hate when there's a long wait because my muscles get cold and all the little doubts and nerves are given time to settle in. The longer the wait the more nervous I get. This past weekend we had to wait forever before we competed, it was awful!
