I taught myself my BHS on the backyard trampoline in a week. Worked out pretty well, but it took me a few months to get it kinda pretty. From there, it exploded. I learned everything between standing BHS to Ro BHS full in one season.
However, i don't think evolving that fast made me a good...
Gah, wish I had some! A few years ago, we braided up our hair and had a high pony, but the creepy thing was when our coach told us that we were having our braids decorated with pretty much cross stitching with glittery bands. OMG, it hurted SO BAD!
How do people fix their hair at competition? Over here (Sweden) we HAVE to tie or braid up all of our hair, if its longer than shoulder-length. So we compete with a LOT of braids ;)
How do you fix your hair? =D
I find it kinda tragic that people are so afraid of change. Its no secret that a lot of rules need to change, and a lot of judges need to get some new perspective. Come on. Modern art wouldn't have worked a hundred years ago, but it works pretty well today. It's called evolution. Compleatly...
I think its tragic that some find it so hard to be a bit different. There is no secret that a lot of the rules need to change, and a lot of the judges could use some renewed thinking. Things change over time. Modern art would have flopped a hundred years ago, but it works today. It's called...
Oh my god. How come people have such a rigid opinion about what "looks" good? GAH! What happened to that open-minded spirit i thought was common sense for ALL cheerleaders? Come ON! We as a group have been subject to a lot of prejudicm during the last five decades or something. Why keep it up...
That's kinda hardcore. We had a girl here in Sweden in a Junior squad who broke her foot in the middle of the routine at competition. You could see she was in pain, she coulnd't even walk, so she was jumping on one foot around the mat. She was hardcore though, she went up in the pyramid, danced...
I´ve got a bad back and neck from 6 years of cheer. I´ve always manage to handle it but after a tumbling crash a few years ago. I went to a doctor specialized in medicine for elite athletes. I got the chiro ofc, it always helps, but I also got acupuncture! It was SO awesome! Sure, it was kinda...
I totally agree with you, the organisation in Europe litterally sucks. I'm an educated coach in Sweden, so I've been through some of the courses here in Sweden.
I used to coach mini and youth-squads, beginner. The coach education over here does not at all match with the difficulty you most...
I were on my way home a few days ago and crashed with my bike thanks to the weather (we have like 1 m snow here, and a lot of ice). However, I managed to land on my bad knee, which suffers from a lot of cheer damage. I got up and realized that my knee felt better than what it have done in years...
I need to fix my heel before competition. At the moment, it looks horrible. Anyone who has some nice stretching advices? Im at the moment stretching every day at the evening, and will keep on doing this for about 50 more days.
