Had USASF not changed the grid she would not be eligible for international junior or even regular junior teams this season. I understand what you're saying. But there's no reason why she can't at least cross to an age appropriate team to be with people at her age level.
As a parent of a 16 year old I'm very frustrated with this age grid. She's being put on junior international teams versus teams with kids her own age. She not even crossing to an age appropriate team.
Oh they know. We had to be registered by a certain date. And currently team changes can be made (such as changing rosters) but by April 20th there will be a $50 fine for any changes. ::Looks at calendar:: they most definitely know the teams and divisions that are registered so that's not what is...
Athletes have always had park passes as part of their tickets. Parents have the option of the espn only tickets. It's unfortunate because the athletes pass have continually gone up in price. I remember when they were close to $250 a ticket.
I assumed based on your response. Apologies
However this board alone has had 2 personal accounts mentioned from parents of kids that have attended or are currently attending CEA. If you don't want to believe the kids. Then believe the parents who have been reporting their stories here for...
Theres a big difference between being yelled at and verbal abuse. Im glad you've never experienced verbal abuse. But please don't confuse the two for those that have.
I thought we had a rule on the forums where we don't discuss the minors name. Maybe I'm wrong. But certainly we don't discuss health information unless we are the actual patient because that is a violation of HIPPA. The athlete is a minor and we need to show them the same respect we would any...
It sucks so much. We're close enough to drive. But not everyone is so lucky. And also I've bought flights because we wanted to maximize our time down there. If this goes through it would make logical sense for Varsity to make all end of season events virtual to maximize participating gyms/teams...
Please see the original post that I replied to where the Poster clearly mentioned that there were people at the event that KNEW they had covid but still went and competed.
I think people replying to me have missed my original point. Which was...
Someone's irresponsible actions at an in person event has contributed to the Covid spread within our event. Most of what I personally have experienced are people visiting a relative or traveling somewhere and getting...
I appreciate the help with the word. Although I knew what it was just didn't have the brain cells functioning enough this morning to spell it. Also, it's already been noted that Ohio State has found that 15% of their athletes post covid have shown signs of myocarditis. In a D1 college athlete...
Given that this virus is only a year old we do not yet know the long term side affects will be. However we are beginning to get an understanding of what they could see. See pages 115-116 for links to articles related to young athletes who have developed serious heart conditions post Covid.
Two weeks later and we have a Covid positive test for one of the girls on the team.
Sooooo many reason why we should not be doing in person competitions.
