Our S4 has classically been 9-10 kids, and there are 20 this year. I can't count the number of people that mention that they didn't recognize us with so many kids. NOT COMPLAINING!! :) Still technically a small gym this season, but maybe not next year. We are over 100 now with our prep kids...
Thanks for all the kind words (and also a shout-out to @BuegeSmalls and @Just-a-Mom for your kind words as well). I was so happy to see @Just-a-Mom and also @KikiD22 this weekend, even if it was just briefly. About the uniform, we always do a custom sports bra incorporated into the uniform...
I felt that way too when we were designing the uniforms. I never liked skirts or skorts until I saw UA's uniforms last year. The uniform is literally perfect, and their kids looked comfortable and athletic. Plus, the kids looked just as sharp at the end of the routine as they did at the...
Madtown Twisters is bringing our small J3 and small S4, and we'll be in small gym divisions.

I am just waiting for other events to start doing what they did it worlds in the Milkhouse this year. They gave a warning about unattended backpacks, and then they started removing the backpacks to free up seating. They said it was a safety issue (which is reasonable with the proximity in time...
Yes, we decided we needed a little more color instead of just blue, black and white. Plus, that color combination has become really popular over the past few years, so we wanted to change it up. We could only think of a handful of teams that use orange (Speed is the only one that comes to mind...
These are the new uniforms at Madtown Twisters. Once again, I am a little apprehensive about posting here, but we're so proud of them that I wanted to share. The bra brigade will be happy to know that the orange mystic straps and racerback showing on the back are actually a separate sports...
I don't think it will ever go completely extinct, but I think that we are going to start seeing more and more teams using single based groups for their longer, elite sequence. If you can hit the quantities there and save the time and energy of doing two stunt sequences, then why not? We are...
We started doing 2 mans/quantity sections a few years ago for all levels, and I think it makes a big difference particularly when you get to levels 3 and above. Our kids tend to be great stunters, and we've found that this is a place where we can pick up points that other teams don't go for...
I am just sad because I look forward to watching their teams every year, and I worry that this is the beginning of the end. I love Cheer Command.
Sidenote: If any of those fabulous CCR kids want to move to calm, drama-free (knock on wood) Wisconsin, we'd be happy to have them. ;)
When someone at Madtown gets a new skill, someone will shout out their name, and then everyone in the gym stops and yells "Awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome." Everyone watches, and they do it again. :)
