Hi everyone!
As a former Allstar cheerleader, I used to read fierce board quite often. I haven't been on in a few years, but I have a cheer-related question and am posting in the hopes that someone can help me find the info I'm looking for. I'm currently a freshman in college, and I'm writing a...
How does your team do make up? My team's make up usually goes with what our theme is. Our theme last season was Pink so we had hot pink eye shadow, bows, and spankies. (:
What I did as a gymnast (and still do sometimes) was to put on 2 lb ankle weights and do my jumps on the trampoline. We also used to use those stretchy exercise bands and tie those around our ankles. That was mostly for split/ring jumps though so I'm not sure how it will work with other jumps!
How often does your school get new uniforms? What did you do to get them (fundraisers)? My school got new uniforms last year (I was still a gymnasts so I didn't wear them), but they were one season uniforms so they fell apart. We've ordered new uniforms this year, but they haven't come in yet...
My school has 3. Competition, Football, and Basketball. Last year we had Competition and Game (game cheered for both basketball and football). How many does your school have and which ones are you one? I'm on the Competition squad.
We have done Super Heroes, Rock Stars, and we were going to do Welcome to the Jungle, but our coaches changed it. Maybe you could do a 70's theme? Or a circus theme. Under the sea? Haha sorry I'm really bad at this

We have a couple middle and high schools in my county, but most of the middle schools share the colors of the corresponding high school (If that makes sense....), but I'll list all of the school colors in my area (:
Navy, White, and Silver

I would like to say a biiig THANKS 2 Shark Dad for tweeting :D (I'm sure there's a bunch more tweeters, but his twitter name was easiest to remember :D) Even when he wasn't tweeting his twitter default kept me amused (:
In gymnastics we would bridge up close 2 a wall and try to push our armpits to the wall (I think to open up your shoulders so it's easier to kick over). If you want to make it fun try having bridge wars with some friends (:
R/o bhs layout, standing handsprings to tuck/layout, standing tuck, triple toe to handspring tuck, and front tuck step out/front walk over into r/o bhs layout. (: I think that's the main stuff sorry if I missed something.
Okay so I posted something about being a flyer on the Skills forum:
(http://fierceboard.com/threads/flying.15400/#post-354419 here's the link about my flexibility and all that good stuff)
I really want to fly, but I'm not sure how to ask my coach. I don't want to seem like I'm not happy with...
I am a new cheerleader, and I really want to be a flyer. I know I probably won't be one this year since it is my first year, but I was wondering if I could be one next year. I'm really flexible from gymnastics (all splits and over splits), and I'm about 5 ft 3 and 110 lbs. One problem I think I...
