I've been stuck on a half forever. I get half with no problem every time, and sometimes i even get 3/4 but i cannot figure out how to get the full twist in! Am i not spinning fast enough? I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.
i always resort to just throwing/whipping myself over instead of actually doing a proper layout. and everytime i actually have a good set, i dont have enough power and end up busting it. my running layout is pretty decent, but my 2 to layout is hideous :( tips?

I read somewhere that in all-star cheer, a back pike is worth more than a layout. Is this true? That confuses me, because in gymnastics at least, a layout is more difficult than a pike. Or maybe I'm not understanding what a "back pike" is in cheerleading? I'm assuming it's a back flip that's...
I currently have all my level 3 tumbling & I am trying REALLY hard to make a level 4 team for the 2011-2012 season. I have been working on my standing tuck and layout for awhile now & i'm pretty sure i can throw it by myself if I just get over the fear of throwing it without a spot. I think that...
Which is more difficult? Harder to execute?
Sometimes I see teams throwing layout stepouts, and they are bent leg, and chucking them....to me this is a way to shield the fact that you can not execute an actual layout...IMO...
