USASF releases (big) early changes for next season
The USASF has released early changes for next season, and here are 3 major ones:
All International divisions require a minimum of 16 athletes.
This means all international teams will have to consist of at least 16 athletes, compared to the...
Hi everyone! I’m hoping someone here can possibly help me out. I coach cheer for a 13U squad that’s affiliated with a football team and a youth league in our area. We have our own set of by-laws and stunting rules which I feel are very competitive compared to where they were two years ago...
Hi! I coach a senior rec cheer team and we’re attending a competition next month that has us following the USASF level 3 rules for stunts and pyramids. It’s been a while for me in terms of all-star/competitive cheer, so I just want to make sure nothing I plan on upgrading within our routine is...
I heard rumors that beginning next year that UCA no longer requires college teams to perform a cheer in their routines (It's still reportedly required for high school teams, however). Thoughts?
I know it's a bit early to discuss new stunt rules for HS, but I saw a UCA instructor post a handspring full up to extension and say it's going to be legal for HS's next year! If that's true, I can't wait to see teams try it!
I've re-read the UCA rules and it seems that there's some changes to the uniform requirement.
It says that bows have to "Be positioned in a manner to minimize risk for all participants. This is restricted to back of the head (below
the crown)".
Our school has traditionally worn bows...
USASF proposed some rule changes for 22–23.
You can read them here:

Notable proposed changes include:
*Change Senior Level 6 Worlds division sizes to Small 5-14, Medium 15-22, and Large23-30
*Proposal to change...
Sometimes, in level 5 or 6, there are athletes with a round off handspring fulls competing against athletes with whip doubles. Where do you put the athlete that has a full but doesn't have variation passes. They don't really belong on level 4 but they wouldn't really be able to compete against...

hi everyone, kind of old news but i have a question about IASF's new uniform rule regarding international teams having full top uniforms starting next season. is it going to affect the open teams, too? are they seriously going to make 20-somethings wear full top uniforms? i'm on a non-tumble 6...
Is anyone familiar with the new summit rules I understand the gist of the 25% add or replace but where it says original roster, is this the roster that competed when bid was won if so if say a team upgraded bid does the new roster apply or is there an original roster at the beginning of season...
I have been told that this is why some of the big gyms have been acquiring smaller gyms. Done so in order to keep their competitors out of the market. It doesn't make sense to me as it creates a monopoly. And cheapens the brand if the acquired gym does not perform at the same level as the...

Changes include signs as well as new basketball rules.
Been seeing a lot of AS athletes with painted nails at comps and jewelry at practice. As an old person, this makes me cringe.
When did the rules loosen up about this? I mean, I guess I get it: judges can’t see your nails so it’s not like it should affect your appearance scores. And I guess if...
I will single-handedly keep this board alive all the way to fall if I have to :)
I know that, strictly speaking, all the safety rules and restrictions apply to all scenarios, in and out of comps. But do you guys follow that rule when it comes to halftimes and rallies?
I ask because our...
All right, it seems like this year, to get to Day 2 at Worlds, INTL teams will have to make top 3 of their own countries on Day 1, no matter the scores, what do you think about that rule ?
Now I dont know how many teams there will be in each category (Nor do I know from where and how many...
Curious what your gym rules are about missing practices and how strict the coaches are if there are frequent/repeated absences. I am one of those people that strongly believe if you threaten something, follow through. I am also a rule follower. This is a brand new team so first year for a lot...
