Can I ask why people think that beginning of the season/first comp has to mean sloppy/not clean, falling stunts, and over all not impressive routines? I guess it's different with such high profile teams but personally I'd rather work hard all summer and beginning of fall and be truly competition ready by my first competition, rather than what half these teams are putting out.

I guess I'd just be way more impressed if teams came out looking worlds ready from the get go. It would make the whole competition season way more fierce, rather than only the final leg. Is that just me?

F5's is this weekend. And I'm assuming SE will be at Battle, again? Correct me if I'm wrong. Just going off of past years.

You may certainly ask. Getting a team worlds-ready takes more than 5-6 months.

Imagine starting a marathon by full-out sprinting the first 400 meters. You could be way ahead at that point, but the experienced runners are likely going to pass you before the race is over.

Things that look deadly are the best! Like ton guns ball-X to the stomach, or UCF's nose dive before their pyramid.

The scarier the more the crowd goes wild ;)

Back when people competed for the first time in September I would have agreed with you, but when all these teams waiting till December to compete for the first time I expect a December level routine.
By this late in the season I expect cleanliness and at least minimal consistency. If half the stunts fall you think you should water it down.

The year is half way over for gods sake.

    It wasn’t even a competition.
It was a showcase that was mainly for family and friends. Not specifically for fierceboarders to dissect and pick at.
Like others said, what if she got hurt...

For you it may be.. For others its not.. Around here the year/season starts in December.. Choreography usually in October/November. For most high schools their state competitions have already happened.. Florida's isn't util February. Some people hold tryouts before worlds.. We wait til after.. Sometimes two weeks after.

Everyone doesn't quite do it like you do

My kids did front walkover front walkover cartwheel back extension roll step out back walkover back walkover. I really like a good back extension roll step out in there! I tried it out of roundoff and it can be done as long as they stay super tight but come found it/looked quite awkward

Okay, so maybe not worlds ready, but I've seen a lot of teams with stunts falling all over the place and the excuse is that it's the first competition. Does the first competition equate to it not mattering whether or not you hit? Is it more of a trial run for most teams? I'm honestly curious.
