Alright.. Let's get talkin' what's cracking in Uniforms for the next season? I'm diggin sublimated for camp wear! I'm seeing more metallic being used lately too... We just finished design mode and went in a really cool direction. Anyone thinking about this?

We haven't purchased a new uniform in 3 seasons, so I'm not too up on the trends! We used to get a uniform every year or two for a while because I had to build up the uniforms. The school went through changes and had no uniforms at all. Now we have 3 we rotate and I don't plan to purchase one for another couple of seasons. I'm happy with our uniforms and with the exception of 1 uniform that doesn't get used anymore, we avoided trendy stuff! I will say though whenever we do purchase again it will likely be powerfit!! Going to nationals year after year stresses the budget enough for us without purchasing so many uniforms like we used to!!

As for campwear, we try to keep it cute but functional. I love the sublimated stuff but we use our clothes all season and have found that varsity stuff either shrinks or gets lost and we aren't able to purchase more. A local printer does all of our campwear and it makes it so easy to get extras throughout the year. Maybe it's just my kids who have to order multiples?!

    Perfect time for this thread!

Call me old school, but I like simple practice wear: soffe shorts with T-shirts featuring bold, unisex graphics with collegiate-style lettering.

I don't like the cotton knit soffe shorts because they look decent on so few people. And, the panty lines!

I agree though. A team oriented tshirt or tank and the nylon soffe or Nike or varsity short.

We did all the varsity stuff a few years ago. Was really expensive for our sideline only team.

We are getting some of the new GK practice wear, plus a couple t-shirts.

We got new custom GK uniforms last year we are using again, but I did submit for a new design. It's really budget friendly, so I'm hoping we can fundraise for it for the comp team.

I'll admit.. We have a smidge of mesh this year on the arm... Don't hurt me...But I believe it's done in a very clean way ( will post when sample comes in)

I like when teams wear boycut spankies underneath, it looks more modest while still being functional.

Yes! Since it's made in the USA, I think it is much easier to get correct sizing and a quality product. I think people assume GK means more money, but it was actually cheaper for us to do a custom uniform (one long sleeve and one tank top, two different looks) than anywhere else.

I think the F5 uniforms have a lot of people under the impression that GK is all-around pricey.

Agree. I think that if you want pricey, you can do it for sure with GK, but our uniforms were about $150 less (shipping included in that) than the ones they initially were planning to get.

We order new almost every year (we do not own the uniforms so the students/parents purchase and keep them.) Because of that I try not to go crazy with styles/stones/craziness.

My team gets uniforms every 2 years and on those years, we order everything from varsity. I was lucky enough that the two year mark was my last year, I had my first non hand me down uniform. But next year they're probably going to do just tshirts and soffees you buy yourself from a random place until t's time to get new uniforms again.

Confused, is the team going to cheer in tshirts and shorts?
