    I am so thankful to have found such a positive forum with clearly defined rules.
    I am transitioning into college sideline cheer after being a dancer and competitive twirler. I look forward to all of the great advice I can learn from everyone, and wish the best to all of you!

    Okay so I am on this forum cuz I rlly need help. I am on my high school varsity cheer team and I am the smallest cheerleader there but I’m a base, when I was younger this wasn’t an issue because I was one for he bigger girls but I didn’t gain weight or much height ever since middle school and now I’m the smallest girl. I started to develope wrist problems while basing girls anywhere between 10 to 30 pounds heavier then me. I went to the doctors and they told me I sprained my wrist and I needed to stay off it for a week so I did, then I went to cheer camp and it got so much worse. I feel like basing isn’t a position for me since I’ve done physical therapy and strength training excersizes for my wrist all summer and I keep hurting it. Idk if I should talk to my coach about it or just trust her and hope that it gets better :/ anyone have any advice?

    Not much activity on this section of the boards but I would actually talk to your doctor again. A week off isn’t much when your talking about a joint that is used often. Could be something else going on as well. Any X-rays taken?

    Thank you for clearly stating the rules for us :) I was a long time member of a gymnastics forum with my older daughter's 12 years of gymnastics, but I am feeling completely lost in this cheer world! Looking forward to finding support here!
