All-Star Aloha Spirit (hawaii) 2014

My small gym in New Zealand is going to be taking one team over to this competition in March/April 2014 (dates not announced yet). If you've been to this competition, what's it like? Is it good, is it big, do the big name gyms go? I'd love to hear about your experiences to know what to expect.

Very small comp, most allstar teams don't compete against anyone

They are offering full paid bids this next season so maybe that will get more teams to attend!

Which doesn't really make sense to me - FP bids only make sense when other teams make up the cost. No one's going to go without a FP bid because its too much money. And a FP bid will still probably barely make a dent in airfare costs.

The line up hasnt grown since we went in 2003. Its more just for fun, and its more of a high school comp. I think the trophies are boogie boards still =(
