I've been doing cheerleading for years and have done every part in a stunt from to backing to flying. Just wondering if there is any college flyers like me that can fly in a full up and do a full as a base as well...

Pretty much all our flyers are like that. They tend to be all star flyers that flew until they hit puberty and then started basing little girls.

    agreeee 100%.

i topped when i was younger and then grew like 8 inchesss. i top a little now but it's hard to compete with girls half your size even with a lot of talent.

thats me. im 5'3 and jacked. but i'm not good at basing or back spotting i'm a flyer but my new all star team won't give me a chance due to the fact that they pretty much have all their flyers set in stone and they have been there for years and shorter than me.

In my daughter's case basing has made her a better flyer. I feel it has made her a more well-rounded athlete. She currently flys for school and bases for all-stars, and she loves both. She says that basing makes her feel strong and she likes that feeling. If I were you I'd work on my basing skills, while taking a stunt class to keep your flying skills up, and continue stretching. Once you get to college you may well find yourself flying again. Good luck!!
