1. Packed House – Nearly 11,000 spectators filled Champion Stadium at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Walt Disney World for the prestigious Large Coed and Large Senior Finals held on Sunday night. Worlds officials moved the division to this venue last season after capacity issues in the past with a lack of seating and large demand. It’s definitely our new favorite venue!

2. Battle Ground – With a packed house Sunday night for the Large Divisions at The Cheerleading Worlds, teams battled it out in front of a record crowd for the title of Large Coed and Large Senior Champions. With some of the best choreography we’ve ever seen and not-to-mention the BEST dances we’ve EVER seen, this truly was a battle for the ages. Cheerleading dance choreography has definitely caught our eye at this year’s event and one of our favorite trends for the weekend.

3. The Unstoppable Peach – They’ve dominated their division all season, the ladies of The Stingray All Stars Peach not only claimed their title as World Champ, but have also been hands down a fan favorite all season with their infamous stunt sequence seen round the world. It was their year! Congrats ladies!

4. Year of the Selfie – The trend of this year’s worlds has definitely been a “selfie” contest. Even our lead photographer, Andrew Dean jumped in on the action. If you see him today, stop him and tell him you want a selfie!

5. Inspirational Sportsmanship – The growth in sportsmanship this season has been truly eye catching. We love to see the bonds that athletes have with each other, especially athletes from opposite teams! Share your photos with your besties with us by tweeting them to @CheerHQ!
