For anyone who read "Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers" by Mary Roach, she just released a new book called "Grunt: The Curious Science of Humans at War" :) I placed a hold on it at the library this morning so I haven't read it yet, but it sounds interesting!

The Vault of Dreamers books by Carragh O'Brien are really good too!

If anyone on here read "Nice is just a place in France" (mature humor book; authors refer to themselves as 'The Betches' so that gives you an idea; it's a light funny read) They've come out with a second book titled "I had a nice time and other lies..." wondering is anyone has read it & their opinion on it?

Also I know many of us have read Mindy Kaling's first book, have any of you read her second book called "Why Not Me?" I enjoyed her first and will probably read her second this summer

So I loved the Eternal Guardians series by Elisabeth Naughton. I found a new (to me) series she wrote and it's got me hooked, too! It's the "Wait For Me" series.

    I just finished:

Big Magic by Elizabeth Gillbert. I loved it. If you like Brené Brown you'll love her, really easy read.

Boy Who Was Raised by a Dog, absolutely fantastic. I had read parts of it for my Personality Psych class and finally got around to reading the whole thing.

Daring Greatly by Brené Brown. I just reread this and loved it even more the second time. She is brilliant and relatable.

An Unquiet Mind by Kay Redfield Jamison. This was about a psychiatry professor who was diagnosed with Bipolar 1 disorder. A really interesting and well written memoir.

Brain on Fire by Susannah Cahalan. Really interesting memoir written by a journalist from the New York Post. It's basically about her "month (as well as her descent into) of madness" spent in a hospital where they couldn't figure out what was wrong with her, as well as her recovery.

Yes to Brain on Fire. It's so good (even if you know nothing about psychology). Highly recommend

I just started reading 'The Wrath and the Dawn' by Renee Ahdieh and I really enjoy it. Already can't wait to read the second book in the series!

If you haven't read her books or watched her tedtalks I really recommend them! They honestly changed how I interact with others, as well as treat myself. Really powerful stuff, and she's brilliant.

I'm close to finishing The Charley Davidsons series by Darynda Jones. It was such a light and easy read. If you're a fast reader you'll finish these book fast. It's supernatural(ish). The theme is like Supernatural (TV show) in the demon/angel angle. Main character is super funny, smart and sarcastic. Great read highly recommend.
