Hi guys... I know this request is not about a cheerleader per say but its my CP's grandmother... she's been in the hospital since Thursday with double pneumonia... Me and CP are leaving to Cuba tomorrow and I can't even cancel my trip... My DH is at the hospital with his Dad because she was placed on a medically induced coma to see if the meds would work since they weren't. Now we got more bad news. The meds are still not working and she's still in the coma and not getting better. I really need prayers for our family. My father in law just buried his brother 3 weeks ago.... His dad 2 years ago... I can't even fathom what he is going through right now. My heart is breaking quadruple times.... Please pray for our family and that she makes it through the night and that the meds start working!!! My family really needs this right now. She is only 50 years old and such a healthy person! We are just in shock how a cold turned into this!!! Please pray for her!!!

Praying for complete healing and His strength for you and your family.

Update.... As of today as I am in airport waiting for my flight what started as a good day with good news (lung capacity had increased and there was a more promising feeling for recovery) has now changed to urgent bad news.... Organs failing / shutting down, and something about acid in her chest... Currently being transferred to another hospital with more specialists in hopes to figure out what is going on and why she's not responding to medication even while being in a medically induced coma... Please keep praying!!! We need His strength to get through this... We need Him to bless her and keep safe... This is not her time and we need her in our lives!!!

June 30, 2015 Update:

I returned from out of the country but thankfully to some great news... My mother in law is still in a coma and after a bumpy week with many doubts seems to be recovering well.... Blood pressure medication (which was given when her bp dropped drastically) is slowly being reduced and she seems to be keep her blood pressure normal, the breathing machine (she is still in a coma though) has been reduced since her lung capacity continue to increase, she is on dialysis for her kidney function but that has also been reduced and although she's not 100% out of the woods, she is definitely improving health wise. All signs of the pneumonia bacteria which caused the double infection appears to dried up and although they can not pin point why she became so fatally ill, the pneumonia is disappearing from her lungs. She is slowly (to avoid shock) being removed from her induced coma which could take a couple days or weeks because they don't want to shock her system and like my FIL says, we aren't fully out of the woods but there seems to be a little light showing through....

Thank you guys for all your prayers!!! I was so sad to have to go on a trip I couldn't cancel but was able to call my DH at least once a day (Very expensive but worth it) just to hear the good news little by little.

Thank you guys again!!!

That's wonderful!

Final update:

She is completely out of the coma... She has to stay in the hospital minimum 45 days for physical and occupational therapy as well as speech because she was in the coma for so long. Dialysis continues until she urinates on her own (i thought that had been removed but I misunderstood).... But otherwise, it appears she is further out of the woods and recuperating nicely!! Thanks again everyone for the prayers!!!

Glad to hear she's doing better! They shouldn't keep her in the hospital just for therapy though, I've never heard of that before.

Ok this is the actual Final Final Update:

My Mother in Law is coming home next week. She is finally off dialysis and her kidneys are functioning back to normal. She will continue on physical and occupational therapy because being in a coma for so long really affected her physically in the sense that she couldn't walk and barely talk etc. She is walking with her of a special walker to help get the functioning back in her muscles. She does have some memory loss (doesn't remember what happened only that she was sick at home and couldn't breathe etc)... She is able to talk again... not like before.. she was telling me how the words are in her head but she can't get them out... she also was telling me its frustrating to know for example that she does know how to write etc but she can't do it cause she could barely move her arms let alone her fingers but very slowly she's getting better and hopefully in a few months with time and therapy and care she will be back to her normal self etc.

Again thanks again for all the prayers and concern... Its great to know there are people out there willing to send prayers out even to strangers!!! I really appreciate it all!!!
