Difference Between Half Full And Arabian?

    CP is working an Arabian step out through to full and one of her tumbling instructors said her Arabian is more like a half. So what’s the difference?

    The way it was once explained to me is that an arabian is more twist first then flip and a half is more flip first then twist. They look a lot different when executed correctly.

    The above answer is correct. The way to think of it is that an Arabian is basically a front tuck but coming from a backwards entry. So the half twist to make it front flipping comes very early, before the flipping really starts.
