Today is Jasmine Cephas Jones' last show as Peggy/Maria. She was amazing, so glad I got to see her perform!

...That's an absolutely terrible choice.NBC is doing "Bye Bye Birdie" for their LIVE! musical next year.... :cow:
Atleast my mom will be excited.
Oh wow, that's quite a different choice.Y'all:
Taran Killam: ‘Hamilton’ Casts ‘SNL’ Alum in His Broadway Debut | Variety

I feel like the king role would be perfect for celebrities. Its a relatively small part and just required you to sing a little. Id love to see steve martin or stephen colbert play that role. Even if it was for a week or so, to get people in (which isnt a problem yet) or for fundraisers.Oh wow, that's quite a different choice.
But actually could work really well... I like Taran Killam, thought he was very unfairly dismissed from SNL. If he tones it down and doesn't overact too much this could work well.
However, I hope this doesn't signal the start of 'celebrity' castings in Hamilton.
I get what you're saying – and the King role is most suited for a celebrity cameo – but to me the spirit of Hamilton is that the actors are unknown. I love that they're not household names, and that they don't at all resemble the actual people they're portraying. Sort of brings home the fact that their message (the American dream) is universal, and available for everyone. Maybe I'm looking too far into it, but that's what I've always seen. If Steve Martin were to pop up, it would be a bit jarring, as much as I love him.I feel like the king role would be perfect for celebrities. The last few NYC King Georges have all been big celebs within the theatre world: Jonathan Groff, Andrew Rannells, and Rory O'Malley. Extending it to outside theatre celebs would be so cool, imo.
:deadhorse:(I know this is old but I wanted to share. Also, I don't know anything about Hamilton.)
Trump: Oh my lord, they should apologize!!!
99.99 of the world population: Apologize for saying the truth?
I think next on my list is Dear Evan Hanson.Has anyone seen (or planning to see) Ride the Cyclone? It had a fairly successful run out here, and I'm curious to see how it's doing in such a different market.
And I still can't decide on Great Comet. On one hand, it's probably the only chance I'll have to see Josh Groban live. But on the other hand, tickets are a little expensive. (Still haven't given up on Hamilton...)

Yay I'm glad you found my thread. It needed one lol. And I'm a bit excited that my thread is popularI haven't really been on Fierceboard for sometime. I didn't realize there was a Hamilton thread. I haven't had a chance to read through. I'm so excited. The last time I posted about seeing Hamilton was in May - I think at that time someone suggested there should be a Hamilton thread. I was fortunate to see it again in July. I saw all of the OBC - the first time everyone except Anthony, but the second time I saw him and Javier the second time. I wanted to post pictures, but I don't know how. :-( Is anyone in the Hamilton Facebook group? I'm still completely obsessed with Everything Hamilton. My cheer obsession has actually taken a backseat to Hamilton. lol. I didn't realize the Cheer Alliance was a thing, was in New York City nor that all those top teams were in town. I have to catch up on cheer. But glad to see this group. I'll share what I happen upon. I know that Oak said his farewells this weekend. I hate to see them go. I wish they could have all stayed and performed long enough for everyone to see it, but wish them all well on their new endeavors. Hamilton will forever be one of the best things I've seen or experienced. Ever!!!!!
