CP’s talk “Online Herpetology Instruction for Gifted Students” has been accepted for the 2020 World Congress of Herpetology in January. This is her first major conference acceptance. She’s a 14 yr old early college student, who was selected first to attend and then present from a pool of mostly graduate students and post-docs. She is the only US delegate from a community college :). Her gym has been extremely supportive in allowing her to miss for smaller conferences and symposia (and to take college classes this summer to allow her schedule flexibility for cheer), even though she’ll have to miss a competition to go to the conference.

Also, does anyone know of any cheer gyms in Auckland and Dunedin that would be willing to let her come in and take tumbling or condition, or maybe do a private or two? She’ll be in Auckland just after Christmas for about a week, and then move to Dunedin in early January. I suspect it would be good stress relief, and that’s right in the middle of our competition season.

I don't know anything to answer your post, but congratulations on the recognition. That sounds like one very impressive child!
