    Prep level two footed position
Flyer is dropped to a prone position
Flyer puts hands on performing surface and forward rolls out

Was illegal, now legal under NFHS?

    thanks

My high school team does this (but from a full extension) and competed with it last weekend. Yes, it is legal. :)

Legal from extension? NFHS? that would be great.

Yep, legal. We follow NFHS rules and they just became legal this year! They look awesome! I expected to see a ton of teams doing "the superman" as we call it, but my girls were the only team I've seen so far with them in a routine! We do a full up to cupie and then superman down and forward roll out of it! Very visual!

Depending on the height of the toss & the number of catchers, it the fall to prone can be legal at 1. As shown in the video, level 2. The forward roll out is 3.

Andre will you please clarify the above Allstar interpretations for the fall to prone (backspot stays attached). I'm not so sure this would be legal in level 2. Thanks

The fall to prone in the video is legal in L2. The roll out of it is illegal in L2.

Could the prone happen from an extension and still be legal in 2? Thanks!

@Andre - For level 1 as would the fall to prone be legal from a braced lib? Would the the bracer have to maintain contact until the top girl is caught?

(Bases making sure not to go above prep/shoulder level height and backspot maintaining contact with at least one ankle the entire time.)

@Andre What would be a legal way to dismount from prone in level 2? We did a somersault backspot was keeping hold on flyers ankles but was told illegal. Another team did it this weekend and told me there was legal because they didn't hit an inverted handstand while rolling out but it looked the same as what we were doing.

If you have the flyers put their feet on the mat before they become inverted (so they're basically just doing a forward roll or a dive roll after they dismount to the mat from prone) then it should be legal. I would guess that is what the other team did - dismount first, feet to mat, then roll out.
