I fought with a woman and her kid about all star and competitive cheerleading. this woman CLEARLY doesn't get it, she was a high school competitive cheerleader and told me that it was the same thing as all star.

So me being the polite and fluffy, vet verbally aggressive person I am, told her that they were two different things. The woman looked at me puffed her cigarette, and said "No they aren't. trust me I actually did it."

(A part of me wanted to just stare at her and say "YOU WOMAN, ARE TESTING THE LIMITS OF MY MEDICATION." I dont even take meds....just potassium pills for my nerve cramps)

So we argued for about 10 more minuets, then the daughter told me that it was the same thing and I was at my limit and wanted to scoop my eyeballs out with a spoon, and I left, apart of me saying "I am incapable of talking to the lesser minded and inferior" :p haha just kidding, but that woman certainly pushed my buttons.

maybe 12 year olds shouldn't argue with passive aggressive 38 year old females....

It's amazing how some people's memory works. Reminds me of my next door neighbor. She is a former all-star mom, now her girls do HS. My kid's gym was exhibitioning at a Comoros hers were competing at and she posted on FB "watching the youth 5 reminds me of when my daughter was on (whatever team name)". Uhhh.. no. She was age five, not level 5

No sense in arguing with people of limited mental capacity.

She got very loud with me and so did her daughter. Normally I would rant and just finally exclaim "YOU ARE SO IRRELEVANT WHY DON'T YOU TELL JAMIE ANDRIES ABOUT YOUR SEA WORLD ACCOMPLISHMENT AND SEE WHAT SHE THINKS"

But arguing with the irrelevant and lesser minded is usually SOOO beneath me. Maybe it's this woman's eye rolling and looking at me like I'm stupid, but she looked at my rays sweatshirt I was wearing and was like "Is that your team or whatever? We had a championship I did the flips in the air I was on top of the pyramid and I tumbled and everything." WOMAN YOU ARE TESTING THE LIMITS OF MY MEDICATION

@TheCheerDiamond - OK, you see how irrelevant this woman is, and I know it's getting to you. But obviously, she isn't going to change her confused little mind. You're fighting a losing battle. Take a deep breath and never, ever discuss cheer with her again.

Thanks!! And I'm trying not to. I feel self contented that I am more mature and intellectually advanced for a 7th grader than a 38 year old woman.

Why do you care what this woman thinks of what you do? And why do you care what she thinks of what she does?

There are many people that think waitressing is easy and only idiots do it (wrong). There are many people that think I'm dumb because I don't have a degree (also wrong). There are many people that think that gay people are all heathens that should never have the right to do anything, let alone get married (wrong again!). There are people that think all black people are lazy welfare fraud committing criminals (totally wrong, yet again).

My point is, people all over the world have all kinds of stereotypes and opinions about all kinds of things they have a)never done or experienced, b)know nothing about, and/or c)think they have experienced but really haven't.

Sometimes those battles are worth fighting. Sometimes they aren't. This one, most definitely, falls into the second category. Don't sweat the small stuff. Because one, her opinion doesn't mean a hill of beans for what you do. And two, remember: she may not have walked in your shoes, but you haven't walked in hers either. For all you know she was on the most competitive high school squad ever.
