My CP finally got her tuck with no spot! Threw 8 in a row all by herself! Walked out of her private saying "I totally got this." I am particularly excited because she has been through multiple injuries due to joints that naturally hyper extend and bouts of terrible mental blocks because of the injuries. She has sprained an ankle, has tendonitis in one knee, had tendonitis a wrist that required 2 months of therapy with a hand specialist, a dislocated elbow, and a stress fracture in her lower back. Through it all she never gave up, never looked back, and continued to believe in herself. I could not be more proud of her!

Not as exciting as Worlds but..
CP had her last competition of the season over the weekend. Day 1 we thought they hit but they got a safety deduction in their pyramid that's never happened all season and a warning for another stunt (that's never happened before which would be a deduction if they didn't fix). With that big of a deduction and the fact that the next best team hit, I thought for sure they wouldn't be in first. Turns out they were ahead by .1 and tied for Grand Champs in their level.
Day 2 they hit and fixed everything and came out on top and grand champs. Great way to end the season.
(If they had done that performance in their regular schedule, I think they could have even gotten a D2 Summit bid - this was their 4th 1st place finish out of 7 comps)

(Edited to add: Finally got the comp results and turns out they actually had the highest score of the entire comp - not just their level!)

After taking a year off cheer due to mental health issues, and struggling with a tumbling mental block all year I finally got my FwoRoHsTuck by myself, along with high-to-high tick tock and kick double basket!!! I'm super excited to get back on a team this year, I've really been missing cheering <3

Story time!! So some of you may remember my saga of cheering on my college team, not making it the following year, joining a sorority and continuing on an open 6 team. Well the previous coach for my college team was awful, treated the athletes badly and really had no idea what she was doing. For one reason or another she ended up getting fired. An awesome new coach was hired but I didn't tryout again because I no longer tumble and assumed I wouldn't make the team. A week after tryouts she reached out to me offering me a spot. I was taken completely by surprise but I am extremely thankful for the opportunity! I'm super excited for this season and I can't believe I'm actually a college cheerleader again. Never say never

Congratulations and I'm glad you will be able to enjoy your college cheer experience again! It was high time for a new coach there! Do you travel to out of area away games? If so, I'll see you on Oct 22 :)

Thank you!!! And unfortunately no, the only traveling we do for football is to Gillette stadium for a few home games

Two brags! Looks like my CP will be on PA Midnight! We are both beyond honored, thrilled, and excited! She is over the moon happy! On top of that she had her full to the left, but was relearning it to the right to improve her technique (she hurdles right in her round off). She got it! :)

My oldest daughter graduated High School and signed with an outstanding college. She ended up with as close to a full ride as you can get from this school and it was the college she really wanted to attend. She has done All Star cheer since she was 6 and now moving on into the college ranks. I'm sure she will want to jump in on the Worlds team so we're probably not completely done with All Star cheer. She had always wanted to cheer in college and kept that dream in site and worked toward it for a long time. We're very proud of her and can't wait to watch her compete in Daytona and wherever STUNT will be held next year!
