Hi everyone,
Could someone please give me an overview of how is school team divisions are split? We go on allstar levels here so I'm a bit confused reading about junior varsity and things that have never even been mentioned here haha. :)

Varsity is (supposed to be) the more advanced team, JV is (supposed to be) the less advanced. Some schools have rules prohibiting freshman (year 9) from making varsity, others only allow upperclassmen (juniors (year 11) and seniors (year 12)) on varsity, others allow any kid on varsity regardless of grade but based entirely on skill. Some schools have teams for only freshman so that they can become acclimated to high school cheer. Some schools call their teams A (varsity), B (JV), and Clean (freshman). Some schools have a non-tumbling team, because competing non-tumbling is an option in their state.
