Hey everyone- I am a journalist working on a project about cheerleading. I am basically just trying to immerse myself in the cheerleading world, hoping to do a story about the growth and success of cheer, but also a realistic look at the challenges faced by parents, kids, coaches, etc. I am trying to learn more about a bunch of different facets of the industry, but right now I am looking specifically at summer camps. Any assistance and insight you all could provide would be amazingly helpful.
For instance- what is a rough average price for a good UCA or NCA summer cheer camp? What are your impressions of those camps from past experiences- do you think they provide good value, adequate safety and instruction? I have heard parents are often prohibited from attending and filming portions of the week. Does that bother you?
