Yes, the days aren't nearly as long this year.
This being our first time... just trying to get some things down. How is parking there? Our hotel is a little too far to walk. Also, I saw that some of the pop up stores are a little ways away from the center. Are they easy to walk to?
We have to be there at 7 AM Saturday, so it doesn't eliminate the super early mornings, but I think the late ones aren't as late.
Take the DART if possible. It's super easy to get in and out of the convention center on it. The Nfinity pop up is farther than I wanted to walk last year. We started that way and turned around.
My take, they expanded the days just to find out what the response would be. I've noticed on the weekly bid declaration for the Summit there appears to be a huge increase in Wild Card bids, which tells me gyms are utilizing the local comps more, more are accepting WC's, and perhaps, some are just reducing the number of Nationals they attend in lieu of the Summit. This is the first time since we have been in AS that we won't be attending NCA, I'll miss the comp but, not the expense.
Well the high is about 90 degrees here today. Thankfully it's supposed to cool down some over the weekend, but at least there won't be snow/ice!

Ok, indulge me in a fashion question if you will...do people wear sandals this time of year? I am so used to wearing boots, not quite sure what to pack! And of course I will have my sneakers
I'm sure there will be people in sandals. Now you may or may not be doing a decent amount of walking so they may not be the most practical choice.
Flip flops are acceptable 365 days a year in Texas.
Welcome to Texas
7 AM Sunday for us too... ugh.

That is what I wanted to hear stepping off the plane in white jeans and flips.
Thanks for posting that! I am in the right mindset now... Texas here we come!
When is the first award ceremony? I'd love to know if they've changed the design of the jacket.
Agreed! It's more organized and it has still retained a level of prestige and credibility that eludes the other competitions.
Besides, there's nothing better than hearing Justin Carrier's voice announce your team's name! It's like you never forget it! Best feeling ever!
Separate names with a comma.
