I think I would be more opposed if it allowed for more athletes to do this, but at this point, meh.

Honestly, it's such a small number of kids.

I mean, for a Large Senior or Large Coed, it's a max of like FOUR athletes.

Is having say, an extra 4 double bid athletes on a team of 36 really creating THAT much of an advantage?

It's even less for small or xsmall. I just don't see that additional person creating any sort of advantage for a program.

I do see where parents might get bent out of shape in a situation where (example) their daughter flies on say, T&S Obsession, and an athlete who is allowed as an exception to the bid limitations comes on and maybe bumps that athlete from flying or something.

Yeah, it’s not a big deal, but it seems like they slowly add more and more exceptions to everything. Just like they have added more divisions. To me it slowly waters everything down.

Same with the age grid too. They go in one direction and then it’s like oops just kidding. Also, I really don’t understand how it relates to covid? Unless they are saying athletes fall ill and can’t compete? They’ve never done that for the flu which hits that age group much harder. Numbers seem to be ok at programs this year so not sure, were they asking for the change?

Kinda funny they do this after the discussion about it in the other thread. This was one of the things that really irked me when it was legal. Though like said, it's very few athletes and it says it's just for this season, so I think I'll live haha.
