We are getting the white ones! With red, but no Spartan! We are getting another top too in white with red and charcoal. So excited!

Yup! It's much harder to go wrong with something simple, and it's more flattering on a wide variety of body types.

Sounds like you guys have a lot of uniforms! Post them when they arrive.

We currently have one red and one light grey. We are getting a new skirt with two new shells. So, we will sort of have four uniforms. That will be awesome during basketball!

My daughter got her high school uniform yesterday. I've been working super late, so I've not seen her, but she sent me some (awful) pictures. I'm really frustrated about the fit of the skirt. I have no idea how something so poor fitting was ordered. There's something really off about the shape of the skirt. The waist is far too small for the rest of it. I hope there's something that can be done.

(Her face looks stressed over the fit)

@amy1k - It almost looks like she got someone else's skirt possibly?

ETA - is this a Varsity uniform? Our varsity rep fitted every single girl so it would be surprising if a skirt for this poorly.

I have an older set of Varsity uniforms that fit the same way. The waists run very small especially for the smaller sizes.

Yes, it's varsity. She was fitted by the rep. I don't think she got someone else's skirt, but I will email the coach. So annoying, though.

When I cheered in college we were fitted for new uniforms and my skirt was also way too small, despite it being labeled the exact same size as the skirt of the current uniform which fit fine and being fitted by a rep. Hopefully you have a good coach/rep who will take care of the issue, especially if you paid for the uniform. Good luck!

It's so strange, because she is a pretty small girl. It must be very tight to make her appear to have a roll at her hips. I'm hoping that someone will have an outgrown skirt she can borrow (this is their 2nd or 3rd year with that shirt), so she can at least cheer at the first game comfortably.

Eta: and, yes, I paid for the uniform.

My cheer uniform fit that way in high school too and I had to wear it around the small of my waist, so it fully covered my belly button. By the end of the year it was too big and was sliding down. I can't imagine that I lost that much weight because it was my first year out of gymnastics (if anything, I would've gained!), so I assumed that it stretched out a little bit.

I would check with her coach though because that does look extremely uncomfortable.

Hmm...I'm going to have her wear the skirt around the house hoping it stretches out.

In all these years of cheer, not ONCE has she brought home a correct fitting uniform. I swear. I recall one fitting (a Varsity uni) where the rep told me that cheer uniforms aren't really created with an athletic build in mind, so they can have issues fitting some body types. I don't know if that is true and my daughter ended up buying a used uniform that year, so I don't know if that rep would have gotten her fit correct.

We had a horrible fitting varsity uniform last year after being fitted by the rep. They ordered us an xs skirt, medium body suit, and medium top. The body suit had to be exchanged for a small, the top exchanged for a small and we kept the skirt. She is still able to wear it again this coming year but I don't know what that rep was thinking!

When my daughter tried on the sizing skirt the Varsity rep asked her if she was an all star cheerleader. She of course said yes. The rep said she knew because my daughter was wearing the skirt around her hips/the top of her hips where all star skirts are worn versus her waist where HS skirts are supposed to be worn. Is she wearing it too low? I can't totally tell from the picture. Chances are it just fits wrong, but it was just a thought...her face makes me so sad, as a mom, but also sort of cracks me up because she looks ticked!
