YES. So ridiculous. Whenever I ask myself why movies/media pick on cheerleaders, I always come back to the thought that it’s the hair/makeup aspect of the sport (read: the inherently feminine part) that is so offensive to people. Therefore, I could go on a tangent about how Lifetime movies feel that skirt- and/or makeup-related things are wrong and any girl embracing them gets what she has coming to her, but I won’t. Not today, death.
So true! Also, every time I show my husband the Cheer themed movies on lifetime... he laughs and says “There HAS to be some executive producer at that network that didn’t make their high school team or something”
I’ll obey the unspoken rule of FB and not bring up politics but I just have to say that today made me sick.
Reality shows have made girls and women mean, dumb, and selfish! In 20 years Trump will be remembered with disgust and anyone who supported him will be embarrassed to admit they ever supported him!
@SpacedCadet You are new to our boards. We try to keep political happenings off of our threads, as it's guaranteed to be a hot button topic. If and when the political conversation happens, we also try and keep it civilized. I suggest you do the same.
@SpacedCadet We don't bring politics into this forum. we would appreciate it if you didn't talk about politics because many people have different opinions. I know personally, this is a trigger point for me, and I have very strong opinions. Please refrain from bringing politics into these boards. Everyone has their own opinion and that's fine, But I can tell you right now if you through shots at my opinions I will fire right back.
