I'm curious as to how three non-sensical posts are helping me get approved to post in actual forums, but I appreciate the work everyone does to keep the boards up and running.

To make sure you aren't a robot and to give you time to observe before jumping into the main boards. While it is much more tame nowadays the boards could be quite vicious in years past.
