Dates and Times: (those competing at Cheerleading and Dance Worlds or have a conflict with the April 26-28th dates should contact Harold Trammel immediately at 919-625-0099 or [email protected] A brief tryout is available on April 21th from 1-4pm.)


April 26th:5:30pm – check in and turn in forms
6-9pm – learn tryout material, evaluate tumbling and practice stunts.
April 27st:9am – 1pm small coed tryouts
2pm-6pm – large coed tryouts
April 28th:8am-12pm – final evaluations for small and large coed
1pm – announce 2013-14 team and brief team meeting
Location: Carmichael Gym in the gymnastics area and court 11
Tryout Requirements:
Small Coed
- Stunts
-Stretch double down (flyers)
-Optional stunt (rewinds, full-ups, switch ups or handstand ups are recommended but not
required) with another double down from a DIFFERENT body position
- Flyers should show elite flexibility
- Bases should show strength and control
-Tumbling (will be evaluated on a non-spring floor)
-Standing back tuck or standing full
-Jump(s) to back tuck or standing full
-Standing tumbling pass consisting of a back handspring tuck or better
-Running tumbling pass consisting of a round off handspring tuck or better.
- A full is recommended but is not required
-Band cheer taught at tryouts
-Brief interview
Large Coed
- Stunts
-Stretch double down (females)
-Optional stunt (rewinds and full-ups are recommended but not required) with a double
down from a DIFFERENT body position (Females)
- Flyers should show elite flexibility
- Bases should show strength and control
-Tumbling (will be evaluated on a non-spring floor)
-Standing back tuck or standing full
-Jump(s) to back tuck or standing full
-Standing tumbling pass consisting of a back handspring tuck or better
-Running tumbling pass consisting of a round off handspring tuck or better.

-Band cheer taught at tryouts
-Brief interview
 
First tryout was a success! Lots of talented girls and boys!
Is the all girl team called "white" a club team with a seperate tryout or is it part of this one? I'm considering NC state in my college search; I really want to cheer in college but I don't think I have the skills for large or small coed yet. Thanks!
