    So my question is following:

What do you do to prepare your teams going into Worlds?
With the deduction rule....like do you practise "not waving" while walking into the mat or do you just tell them walk to like soldiers when the days comes?..

In ACX Wildcats (I think) routine last year were they docked for technique in their tricking section, or what is it respected as tricking or like innovative choreography?

Does anyone have any good tips for two man full ups? My R5 team added them in, but my group is going straight up this weekend bc we can't hit it consistently...Or does anyone know of any good videos to watch on it?

This is a high school question so sorry about that but it's a random cheer question so I figured it was okay if I asked.

In high school routines if a team ends their cheer section up in a stunt (and the would come down once the music starts) and it takes a long time for their music to start, what would happen of one of those stunts fell down? Would it be a deduction?

I would hope that they would take into account how long the team was holding. My friend was competing one time and their cheer ended in a pyramid. One competition their music messed up and they literally held that pyramid for close to 2 minutes. Doesn't seem like that long but it does when you're under it, plus it's super awkward and silent in the gym except for people cheering for you haha

Anyway, I would hope the panel would take that into account. Any more than say 10-15 seconds or if they see a physical struggle or issue at the music table. If my team was given a deduction for that I would definitely protest it.

Our pyramid ended like that and at our showcase we had some music issues... I think after a while we took the hitches down to prep level. IDK what would happen at competition though.
I know we had a ton of deductions at State when our music didn't start and we stood for a few minutes. I hope they would just deduct for the time violation and not the stunts falling. If they do deduct I hope coaches know that and would get the team to just smush to avoid the deductions...

im pretty sure the rule is if the music is on, its a deduction. same thing if it ends in a pyramid and something falls after the music is over it isnt a deduction

    It depends on the level.
Level 1: No stunt, pyramid, or individual may move over or under another separate stunt, pyramid or individual. Example: A shoulder sit walking under prep is illegal."
Then in levels 2 and 3 they add "Exception 1: An individual may jump over another individual."
Level 4 it changes to add "Exception 2: An individual may move under a stunt, or a stunt may move over an individual."

The expense coupled with space to keep one laid out.

Too many teams can't afford one and don't have the space for them. To keep the playing field even at competitions, they run on dead floor. It's also a safety issue, cos kids who are used to tumbling on dead floors then move to sprung can easily over rotate and injure themselves.

Many schools don't have the space or the funds. For example, my high school varsity team that placed 2nd at States and 2nd in all of New England (one of the highest ranked sports in our school) has to practice in our middle school's cafeteria...which would mean we'd either have to lay out a spring floor each afternoon for practice after clearing all of the tables to the edges of the room, or we'd have to build a complete new facility to hold a spring floor. Believe me, I wish it were possible, but at this point it just doesn't make sense.
