Rummage Sale Fundraising ??

Hi there!
My daughter's all-star gym does fundraising for uniforms, practice wear, comp fees, travel, etc.
We are doing a rummage sale this summer.
Has anyone had experience doing a rummage sale for cheer?
How did it go?
How did you allocate funds?

I participated in one last summer. We had it in the gym and didn't get very many customers, but I think some people still sold quite a few things. They set it up where each person received a number and put it on their price tags, so that each person received money for what items of theirs actually sold. I only made three bucks, but like I said I think some others may have done better.
