Varsity issued an update to their music rules today, declaring that editing a single song for length, with no added sound effects or other songs mixed in, is fine for use in home routines brought to camp.

Squirrel Trench Audio has more than 200 single-song edits that are compliant with these revised guidelines, ready for immediate download. Most are $4.99 while some are $9.99, and can be viewed here:

Steps to Getting Music for Home Routines

For those of you attending Summer Camp, you have several options to get music for your optional Home Routine performance. If you would like to use popular music that you hear on the radio, you can use options 1 or 2.

1.) Teams may use a popular recording that you or a team member purchased from a music provider like iTunes, Amazon MP3, or Google Play. UPDATE: After further discussions, this recording may be edited for timing purposes (i.e. removing a bridge, chorus, or verse to adjust the running time of the recording), but it cannot otherwise be edited, mixed or sampled with any other music (sound effects and tempo changes are not permitted).
